'The Landing' - A collection of aftermath images documenting the event and location of the Kilcoole Gun Running, where 6,000 German-made Mauser 71 single-shot rifles along with 20,000 rounds of ammunition were landed on Kilcoole beach at midnight by members of the Irish Volunteers on the 1st of August, 1914. Two years later these weapons were used to aid the Volunteers during the 1916 uprising.
